Select woods are cut into plies, positioned with staggered diagonal seams, and sealed together with evenly distributed air pressure using our Air-Seal System. As a result, every shell created with this process is perfectly in round, of uniform thickness, and produces superior tone quality with exceptional durability. Maple wood snare drums provide a rich, warm tone with a wide dynamic range and great sustain. Birch wood offers a sharp tone with solid highs. Brass shells deliver a tone rich and full of color with a well balanced definition throughout its dynamic range. Copper shell snare drums offer full-bodied tone with a sharp attack and superior projection. Steel snare drums have a sharp metallic sound and solid attack with a slightly longer decay than brass or aluminum.
