Shipping and Returns

Returns & Exchanges

  • Return Authorization: Please CONTACT US to request a Return Authorization prior to returning any item. Memphis Drum Shop reserves the right to refuse any shipment sent without return authorization. Return Authorizations may be issued within 7 days of the date you received your purchase. Items should be returned within 7 days of the Return Authorization.
  • Returns must be in original condition with the original packaging, receipt, paperwork, and product documentation if applicable (Certificate of Authenticity, owner's manual, warranty card, quick start guide, cds, bags, etc.).
  • Transaction Fee: All returns have a 4% restocking fee to cover the purchase transaction fee.
  • Pre-Boxed Items: Manufacturer-boxed items (excluding drum sets) are subject to a $30.00 restocking fee (per box) upon return for inspection and repackaging. Drum sets have a flat $100.00 restocking fee for inspection and repackaging.
  • Return Shipping: All return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. This includes any customs duties, taxes, or tariffs on international returns.
  • Nonrefundable Shipping Costs: Our Free Shipping promotion is applicable with purchase only. If you choose to return your purchase, the outbound freight will be deducted from your refund. If you paid the outbound freight, that outbound freight cost will not be refunded.
  • Refunds: Refunds will be credited to the original payment source (Credit Card, PayPal, etc.) within one business day of receipt and inspection of your return. Most banks take 3-5 business days for refunds to be returned to the card or bank account.
  • Other Limitations: We allow a maximum of three returns/exchanges per customer. After three returns, Memphis Drum Shop reserves the right to deny future returns until further notice. We do not accept returns or issue refunds on Special/Custom Orders, Layaways, or any purchases where Trade-ins or Store Credits are involved. We do not accept returns on Cymbal Box Sets, Hi-Hat Top Only cymbals or Hi-Hat Bottom Only cymbals.

Same-Day Shipping / Outgoing Shipments

  • Memphis Drum Shop ships with FedEx and USPS Mondays-Fridays. We do not ship orders out on Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays.
  • Most orders ship within 24 hours of order date. We will make our best attempt to ship your order on the same day it is placed. Any order placed after 3:00 p.m. Central Standard Time may ship the next business day. This includes orders placed with expedited, overnight, or 2-day shipping methods.

Domestic Shipping

  • Free USA Shipping: Our Free Shipping promotion applies only to the 48 contiguous United States. Orders shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico will incur shipping charges. Free Shipping items are shipped via FedEx Ground, FedEx Home Delivery, or FedEx SmartPost.
  • Direct Signature: Orders that total $100 or more may require a direct signature upon delivery (unless No Direct Signature is requested – see below). This procedure requires a signature from a responsible party at the delivery destination. If you are unsure if your future shipment will require a signature, Please CONTACT US prior to placing your order. The direct signature requirement cannot be removed once an order has been shipped.
  • If a package requiring direct signature cannot be signed for, after three delivery attempts are made, the package will be returned to Memphis Drum Shop and the original shipping charge will not be eligible for reimbursement.
  • No Direct Signature: You may waive the direct signature requirement by requesting "No Signature Requirement" in the Order Comments when placing your order. By waiving the direct signature requirement, the customer accepts full responsibility for their package after FedEx completes delivery. The customer accepts FedEx tracking update "Delivered" as proof of delivery.
  • Lost or stolen Packages: If a package ships with No Signature required, it will be delivered at or near an entrance to the delivery address. Memphis Drum Shop is not responsible for any packages that have been lost or stolen after the point of delivery. If you have concerns about the safety of your future shipment, please CONTACT US prior to purchasing. We can have your order shipped with Direct Signature Required, or have it shipped to a FedEx location to hold for your pickup.
  • Insurance: All packages are insured for the value of the items held within.

USPS Shipping Disclaimer

  • Please be aware that although USPS is sometimes a less-expensive method of shipping, USPS does not guarantee delivery time nor does it provide accurate tracking or recourse for lost, damaged, delayed, or stolen shipments. For faster, more reliable delivery with accurate tracking, we recommend that you select a FedEx shipping option.
  • If you choose USPS as your method of shipment and an issue arises, Memphis Drum Shop will do everything in its power to facilitate a positive resolution. However, we will not be able to refund, reimburse, or resend packages that are lost, damaged, delayed, or stolen. If USPS is chosen, you, the customer, have assumed full responsibility for your shipment once it leaves our facility.

International Orders & Shipping

  • Memphis Drum Shop ships most products to most countries outside the United States! If you are having trouble getting a shipping rate in the website checkout, please CONTACT US so we may assist you.
  • Payment: We accept PayPal payments only for orders shipped outside the United States. Orders are shipped to the address used with your PayPal payment. Memphis Drum Shop will not ship to a different shipping address.
  • Customs Duties, Taxes and Tariffs: Most international orders incur customs duties, taxes, and/or tariffs. Memphis Drum Shop is not responsible for payment of these fees, nor do we have any way to estimate what these fees may cost. Please contact your local customs office to determine any fees you will be responsible to pay to receive your order. For insurance and legal reasons, we cannot declare an item as a gift or declare a value less than the actual amount of the item.
  • Undeliverable Shipments: Please be aware that refusal of delivery, for any reason, may result in the items being returned to Memphis Drum Shop. Should this happen, any charges or fees incurred will be deducted from any pending refund. These deductions may include return shipping charges, unpaid taxes and customs fees, as well as a restocking fee.
  • Insurance: All packages are insured for the value of the items held within.
  • International Claims: In the event of a damage claim we will follow all guidelines and procedures laid out by FedEx. Due to the complex nature of international business, Memphis Drum Shop cannot be responsible for replacement shipping charges. For more information, see Shipping/Damage Claims (Below).

Shipping / Damage Claims

In the event that you receive a damaged item or package, please CONTACT US. Please take pictures of the original packaging, highlighting any noticeable damage to the outer shipping boxes, and also any damage to the goods themselves. Please retain all items and original packaging until all insurance claims or investigations are completed. Items returned before any investigation is completed will forfeit all possible damage claims or reimbursements.

  • Claims for damaged or missing items in transit must be received within two business days of receipt of merchandise.
  • Reimbursements or product replacements will not be issued until a shipping insurance investigation has been completed. The customer must cooperate with FedEx in order to complete a shipping insurance investigation (provide images, allow the shipping company to physically investigate the shipment).
  • If a customer receives a shipment from Memphis Drum Shop and then forwards the package(s) to a third party, Memphis Drum Shop is in no way responsible for damages, lost goods, claims, or import fees of any kind.

Warranty

  • Many products are covered by a manufacturer’s warranty against defects in material or workmanship. Memphis Drum Shop will assist you in facilitating a warranty claim for your product if it malfunctions or becomes damaged within the terms of the manufacturer’s warranty.
  • Memphis Drum Shop does not offer extended store coverage or warranties.
  • If you feel your purchase is eligible for warranty repair or replacement, please CONTACT US. We ask that you please provide your original order number and pictures of the product in question.

Store Credit

  • Store credit received from returns, trade-ins, or gift certificate purchases cannot be refunded or redeemed for cash.
  • Store credit can only be applied to future orders and cannot be retroactively applied to a previous order.

Layaways

  • Layaways are available for 30 days with a 10% upcharge. We require a deposit of 25% of the final cost to put your item(s) in Layaway.
  • All items left unpaid or unclaimed after the 30-day period will result in cancellation of the layaway and loss of all monies.

Product Specifications and Prices

  • Specifications and prices are supplied by manufacturers and are subject to change without notice.
  • Memphis Drum Shop is not responsible for typographical errors.

Used Equipment

  • Used equipment is sold as-is. We thoroughly inspect all cymbals, drums, and other equipment before listing online. Used cymbals are inspected again before shipping out. There is no warranty on used equipment. All used equipment sold on our website is returnable per our normal Returns & Exchanges Policy.
