The JNDC John Aldridge National Guitar Series thin seamless bronze shells are hand-selected for their superior vibrance and incredible warmth. These drums are remarkably similar in timbre to the vintage snares from the late 1920’s and early 1960’s instruments, because of the thinner shell construction. The slight variations in shell thickness result in more mid-range and low-range frequencies with added warmth. The JNDC John Aldridge National Guitar Series is articulate and powerful but possesses the appropriate set of high-end frequencies that empower this drum to sit well within small and large ensemble settings.
Once the JNDC John Aldridge National Guitar Series bronze is hand-selected, the bearing edges and snare beds are finished by hand to refine and optimize the sonic performance. Once the shell is bright polished and its interior bead blasted, the shells are hand engraved by John Aldridge, using the ornate National Guitar patterns. Finished with in bright nickel, the National Guitar Series drums pay tribute to the original guitar designs of the 1920’s.

Each design/pattern will have a limited run in the collection and will be sunset upon completion of the series.
