The Philly Joe Jones Solo Book is published and transcribed by Joerg Eckel, a student of John Riley. This 378-page new edition hardcover book contains pages of Philly Joe Jones’s solos on record. The transcriptions include sticking and also reference the recording/time of each solo - an incredible study and insight into one of jazz’s greatest drummers. Please note that these book pages are photo copies of meticulously hand written music charts and may be harder to read for some people.
