The Gretsch 12x7 USA Custom Ash Soan Signature Snare Drum (GAS0712-ASH) features a 9-ply purpleheart shell with 45/45 degree bearing edges, 12 single-ended lugs (6-lug configuration), 4mm die-cast hoops, Lightning throw-off and butt plate, 20-strand snare wires, Gretsch Permatone drumheads by Remo, Clear Gloss Lacquer finish over purpleheart woodgrain, Silver Seal interior, chrome hardware, and Gretsch round badge. Each snare has an inside identification label specifying the year of production and is signed by Ash Soan.
