The Tama 14x6 Starphonic Stainless Steel Snare Drum (PSS146) features a 1mm stainless steel shell with brushed center stripe, 45-degree Resonant Sound Edge bearing edges, 10 Freedom Lugs, mini claw hooks, Grooved Hoops, "Linear-Drive" Strainer and Detachable butt plate, 20-strand Super Sensitive Hi-Carbon Snare Wires (MS20RL14C), Evans Coated G1 batter drumhead with Tama Logo, Evans Snare Side 300 drumhead with Tama logo, a polished stainless steel finish, chrome hardware, and Tama Starphonic badge.

This snare drum has a solid and rich resonance. The 1mm stainless steel shell in combination with the R.S.E. edges gives this drum the openness and brightness reminiscent of the vintage metal snare drums of the 20's.
