The 14x5.5 Yamaha Recording Custom Aluminum Snare Drum (RAS1455) is one of Yamaha's finest snare drums, designed with Steve Gadd's valuable input. The center bead on the outside of the drum produces a more open sound for crisp, articulate performance. This Yamaha snare drum features a 1.2mm aluminum shell, 45-degree bearing edges, 10 one piece lugs, Q type throw-off, DC3 type butt-plate, 3.0mm AL-DC hoop, 20-strand snare wires, also includes special 10-strand snare wires that Steve prefers to use and a coated Ambassador drumhead by Remo.
